Hello Friend,
Our fourth Peace it Together program has begun!
We are delighted to share with you the news of our innovative and expanded new program that will reach more people than ever before.

Fostering Fresh Perspectives
The 2011 Summer Program
As peace talks continue in the Middle East, we are reminded again of the pressing need for arenas of communication between Israeli and Palestinian civilians. During July and August 2011, an exceptional group of Palestinian, Israeli and Canadian University students will come together at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada to take part in their very own peace talks.
Peace it Together’s dialogue and filmmaking program will provide a space for these young people to break down barriers, discover their common experiences, and create inspiring short films together that will give voice to their perspectives on the conflict.
Scaling it UP!
A generous grant from the Canadian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade will allow us to increase our impact by funding these additional components of the Peace it Together program:
A PRIME Partnership
Peace it Together is excited and honored to partner with PRIME (Peace Research Institute in the Middle East) in selecting, training, and empowering our 2011 participants. Established by Palestinian and Israeli academics and researchers in 1998, PRIME is an award-winning non-governmental, non-profit organization that pursues mutual coexistence and peace-building through joint research, projects and outreach activities.

Increasing Our Impact
Extended Pre- and Post-Summer Programs
Peace It Together’s 2011 program will be more influential than ever before!
In the months preceding our 2011 summer program, participants will view films produced at past Peace it Together programs and screen them in their home communities. PRIME will guide Palestinian and Israeli participants in the development of workshop curricula that will accompany the films and encourage audiences of all ages to participate in peace-building initiatives. Following the summer, Peace it Together and PRIME will help participants find opportunities to share their films and engage in peace-building dialogue.
Plugging In
Facebook, Twitter, and other forms of social media have become an important part of daily communication and empowerment, especially for youth. Building on our desire to meaningfully engage as many people as possible, Peace it Together will be maximizing our use of these technologies to motivate people to action, expanding the films’ audience, and enable viewers to engage directly with the filmmakers.

We need your help to make this program a success and expand our impact! While the government grant is a tremendous help, it does not cover all of our expenses.
